Log aerobic activities - duplicate or not?

I have a quick question regarding activity logging.  I know the FitBit only really records steps and distance, therefore the calories burned reflect that.  I did a kickboxing class this morning, so I decided to manually log it, since it does not take into account all the punches, kicks, squats, ect.  I was wondering if it just adds onto what it did calculate as far as calories burned, or if it takes away what it automatically calculated and the manual entry overwrites the information.  I just did not want it to calculate it twice and say I burned way more calories than I did.  When I manually put it in I did notice the calories burned increased by about 300, and it said the activity was one that burned 602, so I am thinking I am safe on the not duplicating, just wanted to make sure!

Thanks!

Casey

Since no one else has decided to answer who may be more of an expert than myself I will attempt to reply. My understanding is that when you manually input the data the reason that you need to enter the time is so the program will over ride what the fitbit reads with the manually entered data however it does not use that date when calculating the rewards. I hope this helps but understand the source that you received it from. Remember free advice is worth what you paid for it.

okay, thank you.  So you are saying in the weekly reports the manual data is not reflected?
