Hi
I have tried to find the answer to this question in the forum but gave up as there is so much confusing information on here.
I want to hit my goal every day of 10K steps and I want to see it on the dashboard and in the app. It's good for motivation.
I have been in the gym doing my stuff over the last few days. I use the treadmill first and then hit the cross trainer. This activity gets registered and steps are measured. I can see myself moving towards the goal and then I'm happy. I'm not sure how accurate the step count is on the cross trainer but then thats another subject!!
I then move on to the stairmill and rowing machine. These activities do not get registered by the flex. I can enter them on the website. I understand that.
My question is does the activity registered then convert into steps? I want to see my goal go down from the activity I have done.
If I go for a relaxing swim after my workout I could then register this as a activity but will it be translated into steps taken. I hope you get what I mean?
Could I use a fitbit one alongside my flex?
thanks

Fitbit is step based.
cross trainer Altho it will register some it will not be accurate
stairmill and rowing machine, swimming none of these are step based so when entered manually they will also not produce steps
Yes you can use the one along with the Flex but you will still get the same results they are both step based. One cant be worn in water at all either

No.
But don't trade a perfectly good workout for merely wanting to see a goal be met.
Perhaps change your goals.
Like if you incorporate any strength training into your workout to help retain muscle mass instead of just all that cardio that will help burn it - that won't count as steps either.
