Does the fitbit record an hour spinning class?

Nope. On the Force you can hold the button to note the start and of class, but then you need to go back on the web or phone to mark it as spinning. You can also, just add an activity on phone/web.

You could put your Force around your ankle or lace it onto your shoe if you wanted
Then the number of 'steps' you'll get is your cadence x amount of time used.
You'll get an estimate of calorie burn based on this figure, which I guess will be a lot smaller than that actually expended.
Maybe better to use a HRM and manually enter the session as an activity.

Thanks for the suggestion. I laced th fitbit on my sneakers and it now calculates steps for spinning and for the elliptical. Now if it would let you record cups of water drank each day.

You don't see the water intake log in the food log area?
