I have an issue and I'm not sure if I'm dealing with a severe emotional disorder, anxieties ....I'm not sure.
Ok So, I'm a Vegetarian and over the last 3 or 4 months I have notice that I start off really good eating healthy and it last a few days and then If something worries me ( it can be anything, I over think on a situation) and the next thing I know my stress creates hives on my skin and as soon as I flare up I tend to lose focus on my eating healthy..I then grab my 6 year old snacks and Yes I been to the doctor I'm on medication but.....the meds that he put me on are just for my hives in which makes me become an eating monster..he said it makes me hungry so he advised me to take them when I go to bed.. But my stress is all over the place and there were days I had to take them before bedtime..because hives are not good for me I have such sensitive skin.
Alot of people will always say..Be Consistent, Stay Determined etc... But I'm beginning to feel like its much more deeper than that..I tried Meditation to help me with my anxiety, stress levels...It don't work. I tried Yoga..blah Hate yoga, I try to take my mind off things that I can not change..but once again I over analyze. Because of all of this my eating habits has became a love and hate relationship ( emotional eater) . I don't have a gym membership and I'm thinking that might help..But..........I hate the gym, but willing to give it a try, the last time I was in a gym during a free session, EVERYBODY tends to call me and i'm like SCREW IT !!! I work out at home and as of now its kinda hard to work out because my son and husband tend to be a distraction at times and if I see a peice of paper on the floor I look for more paper and before you know it ..Im cleaning the entire house during my workout..although my husband will tell you its the OCD in me of keeping the house tidy.
How do you deal with stress/anxieties?
Do you take medication for stress/anxieties? If so, How have it changed you or what changes have you seen? Yes, I'm thinking about it.
If you don't believe in medication..Do you recommend a tea that calms the stress/anxiety levels?
I know someone might mention Yoga again..But don't trust me I hate Yoga..I do love Pilates (Reformer)
Your advice is appreciated and I don't need a grammar expert this is not a college essay that needs to be graded, LOL !!

I would suggest you find a doctor and/or therapist. It could be depression, it could be bi-polar...but in any case the stress is definitely affecting your day to day living. I'm BP but wasn't diagnosed until late in life. When I was manic the house would be immaculate and I could do so very many things spinning like a top.
Then there were times when I felt like the world was going to end, and I couldn't stop crying. Finally I got the right doctor and right medication ( Effexor) and it changed my life. I still have more on my plate than I possibly need. But the meds keep me level so I can do what I need to do. Sending you hugs.
Oh and I laughed when you mentioned yoga. I HATE yoga. Uncomfortable positions and going into your own head...I don't want to be centered in my own head...it's a scary place to be heeheehee. I find the best exercise is hiking with good music.
I pick a walk that will really bust my butt, say five or six miles. Maybe a reward at 7/11 located in the next town. If you get an MP3 player and load it with your favorite music it puts you in your happy place. Plus a good sweaty workout releases the feel good hormones, definitely helps.

I am so sorry that you are dealing with all these feelings and stressors!
I dont have the magical answer, but I can share some thoughts based on my own experiences, along with sharing what i know my friends do. Maybe some if these thoughts can help point you in a good direction....
depression / ocd / anxiety/ stress - My sister is ocd an depressed. She has found that medication helps " take the edge off ' her stresses. You may want to chat with your doctor about medications to help take that edge off, which may help you cope with all your external stresses.
Stress - I know you say its hard to make time to work out and trust me -- I know that feeling; there are days I do not have time. However, if you can force yourself to run down to the basement for 20 minutes a couple times a week , you may notice some change. Working out helps as a de-stresser.
I wish you the best!

If you are looking for natural stress relief as opposed to medication from a GP, try chamomile tea, or red clover. Add sage to your food - it works on different levels of stress from mental, spiritual and emotional aspects. There's also St John's Wort which works on the stressy norepinephrine which is often stopping your pituitary gland from producing the necessary balancing hormones.
If yoga is stressful for you, have you tried Tai Chi?
Music can often help balance moods and don't forget lighting, bright intense lighting increases stress levels. Cool blues can have a soothing effect.
BUT don't rule out medication and seeking help from a doctor who may be able to diagnose and correct underlying problems.
Hope you find something that works for you. It may be a combination of things. Some people find massage very relaxing, some prefer Indian Head massage and some prefer reflexology for no other reason than they like their feet being treated. There are some very soothing and relaxing aromatherapy oils which when combined with massage can work wonders. On the other hand others can find massage itself to be a stressful experience and merely endure it in order to ease muscular problems. It's all very personal.

My perspective first check your diet. A while back I was getting a lot of anxiety attacks because I was using a lot of Sweet N Low. Some food additives like those found in processed foods might also affect you. Once I removed the Pink Stuff and took out all Junk Food, I no longer have those anxiety attacks. I also started walking again. That has been a tremendous help. I have a very stressful job, and I deal with multiple problems sometimes on a daily basis. Ginko Balboa I noticed and Ginseng Tea helped in the past. Ginko Balboa made too relaxed one time, and I had to stop using it.You might also be having some sort of vitamini deficiency. I tried a low carb diet or no carb diet about two years ago. My body went crazy and I started having a lot of panic and anxiety attacks. A diet change is maybe what you need.
