Hi
Well I have my trusty fit bit but for some reason I am desperate to get out there but just don't seem to make it through the door. Don't have right kit, attitude or enough time and I know they are classic excuses but they are currently blockers. Need a kick to do it!

You do have a classic excuse. The hardest part of any walk or run is getting through the door. Nobody can help you (or me right now) in overcoming that challenge.
Maybe we should start a "Made it out the door" thread.

When I have those days, I just ask myself which man I want to be.
Do I want to be the man who made excuses, procrastinated and achieved nothing?
Or do I want to be the decisive, dynamic, go-getter who set himself goals and went about achieving them with enthusiasm and pride?
I'd rather end today regretting my aching legs than regretting a day of idleness!
Go for it! Go on, get out in to the fresh air and enjoy a stroll.

I was self conscience before I started walking outside. I started doing the walk away the pounds videos on youtube and once I was able to do the mile walk easily I moved to the more intense videos. They aren't harder actually, they are just longer.
Finally I screwed up the courage to walk outside. First I just wore regular clothing and went when it was dark. Now I have a walking schedule and when time allows I increase it.
My husband always talks about how he can't do something because people are looking and judging him. I told him, why do you think you would be the most important part of someone's day that they would spare time to think about you? Ha ha, I now take my own advice.
Once you start, it's easier to keep at it.

well, obstacles or blockers as you call them are meant to be moved. So, move one at a time. I am not sure what kit you need to walk outside, but good sneaks are really all you need. Time- I am positive you can find one hour that you currently idle away without realizing you are doing it to get out there and take some steps. Attitude, well that you have to adjust. Figure out where its coming from and adjust it. All these things are driven by an emotion- something that is holding you back. Figure it out and magically the door will open and off you go. I hope you do.. good luck..

When I feel like I need motivation, I like to listen to Kamina, a character in the anime Gurren Lagann. He is always giving motivational pep talks to his friend and is super positive about being able to do anything. So here are some that get me pumped.
"Kick logic to the curb and do the impossible!"
"Listen up, Simon. Don't believe in yourself. Believe in me! Believe in the Kamina who believes in you!"
So just believe in the me, that believes in you and do the impossible! I know you can do it!!!!

This is going to seem shallow - but one of my motivators is starting Daily Goal challenges with my friends! Every morning by 5am either I, or one of my few Fitbit friends, have started a daily challenge and then we cheer and taunt each other throughout the day!
Also, paying for a gym membership motivated me! My friend pays for 3 months at a time. I just want to use the gym until the weather is nice enough to run outside for the summer. But it works! I've made "gym-friends" there that I like to say hi to, too, so there's that!
And I like to update my caloric burns on My Fitness Pal for my MFP friends to see.
See? Shallow, I know - but it works for me! Those were all the things back in January that I needed to get myself back on the Fitbit train! Now, it's truly harder for me to NOT get out on the road to run than it is to just do it! I wake up early so I'm done before the kids wake up. It's my time! I do it for me - but also a little bit for bragging rights 😉 Good luck.

The alternative is not worth it brother...your time is your own...it's all about priorities and boundaries...you can do this, you got this!!!
