My Fitbit Force doesn't measure distance accurately at all

ANSWERED

I walk and run on a loop I measured at almost exactly 2.5 miles.  When I walk/run on the course, the Fitbit Force seems think it's less than 2 miles.  My height, the only variable I control in my profile is correct.  Has anyone else noticed the same problem?

Your fitbit calculates miles by simply multiplying recorded steps by your stride length. If we assume that it is tracking steps OK then it would be due to the default stride length being too short. You can, however, override the default in your profile settings:

As you know the distance of your loop and how many steps were recorded you should be able to calculate your actual stride length.

NB note that your settings have 2 stride lengths; one for walking, one for running

Woman HappyI wewar mine on my ankle it doesn't fit all the way around so I roll the edge of my sock around it. It has stayed there and is much more accurate than my wrist.
