Need exact lenght of time of activity

I want to see the exact lenght of time of my activities. The fitbit one timer shows in tenths of a second when it is running but when it is synched and shows up in the activity log it rounds to the nearest whole minute. Isn't there some way to get the exact time? I've tried looking at the display immediately after finishing but that is often not practicle because it doesn't stay displayed very long and is not bright enoght to read outside in daylight.  There should be a way to get this information. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums!

There is no way to get that information

Feel free to add it to the features board. If it gets enough votes it could get added

That's hard to believe.  I was considering getting a fitbit surge to replace my garmin for tracking my running workouts, but the best I can get is timing to the minute that is a deal killer.

@jtm3 I have always been disappointed that the One does not sync the seconds. That has to be a simple fix @MatthewFitbit but there are only two votes in the Ideas section so it will not get the attention.

The Charge, Charge HR and the Surge all sync the seconds. You will need to make your choice.

1. Examine the way the Charge clips the band, if you are very active I would recommend the other Fitbits with the buckle.

2, The Charge HR only syncs activities greater than 5 minutes and if they are very light activity there is a good chance it thinks you are resting/asleep and the sync goes into the sleep log.

3. The Surge does a full gamut and low activity like Yoga does sync as an activity and even down to a few seconds activity.

I have found the One a very accurate step tool, more accurate than the wrist type Fitbits and it is my Gold Standard when I get back to full activity. Ironically my wrist type Fitbits are more accurate with steps on crutches and walking sticks and that is doing the 100 step test that Fitbit recommend.

Hi @jtm3 - I use a Surge and it syncs the exact time, it doesn't round up.

I now have a Fitbit One (just got it, yesterday) but my primary activity-based tracking device is my Garmin Forerunner 910XT which tracks down to the second and pulses GPS every second.  Still, I'm interested in the accuracy of the One and the total day metrics as well as my specific activity.

Lew,

I've had my One for over two years, and I like the all day metrics.

From my experience the Fitbit One is very accurate if I'm walking, but not very accurate when I'm running.  I use a Garmin 310XT for running workouts, then I manually update my activities for runs on the fitbit site.

I'm considering the Surge because I'd like to get rid of the chest strap for HR monitoring.  From what I've seen so far in reviews, it looks like the surge has a way to go before it has the functionality to replace the garmin. Someone with a surge correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it can be programed for different workouts, like intervals.

Ozzie,

How accurate is the Surge GPS and HR functions? Also, is it possible to program workouts such as intervals on the Surge. Thanks
