Thanks guys 🙂

T'was not an easy task lol

Might take me another year to get my head ready for it again, but next time I'm getting up earlier and going all the way to 100K!

@GSaldiveri maybe in 4 - 6 weeks, take advantage of the endurance training you have just done (and continue to do) :-).

I am working on doing 50,000 steps in a day

seems easy but so hard I’ll get there

@checking- lol, gentle persuasion? j/k - I think it might take me a little bit to get another go at that one. Setting up the amount of time it takes and having the desire at the same time......

I think I made a mistake using the Gazelle for 2 sessions that day though. It takes a lot more out of me than just walking alone. I used it because I can move faster on it, but it does come at a price. I would have been better off starting an hour earlier and just walking. Live and learn... In the meantime WWH200 here we come!!  😉

@emili- Thank you, I was feeling it pretty good on Saturday. Legs were shot and I was pretty much exhausted. I had to work though and I did manage another 24k so I was able to keep myself loose lol.

@SunsetRunner- High counts like 50k are not easy to make. They can take a lot of time to get there. I was walking at a decent pace - not too fast - not too slow and I was averaging ~ 6k/hr When walking. I had to stop for breaks every so often so my overall average dropped some from that as well.

In the end it took 13 hours for me to hit the 70K mark - just over 5k/hr. 50k is very doable, but you will have to dedicate about 10 hours in the day to getting there 🙂

@GSaldiveri    Sal, the Gazelle is basically a (pair of) pendulums, right? If so, they have a natural frequency that may tend to drive you faster than you want to go. If the swing arm length is 40" that (calculated) frequency is ~60/min and running two of them => 120 'steps'/min, or 7200/hr - looks like about what you were doing.

@checkingInteresting thing about that machine is that when you are striding on it, it's all muscle power. I can't deny there is some influence from swing (especially when I do both arms forward/backward) but the work is done with legs/arms/back/shoulders and core. I love the zero impact workout, by body feels like it's just floating, until my legs start spreading and lifting the opposite direction lol

I find myself pushing with one side and countering with the other. Muscle work in both directions - push/pull both with arms and legs at the same time. I just feel like jelly when I get off of it.
