OK, what is your cardio score and age?

Curious to,see what members will post. I am 74 and my cardio score is 53. I have been recording my running miles for nearly 42 years (currently at 88,3xx miles and counting).

For those of you into VO2 mine is listed with my Garmin running watch as 44.Very grateful to still be running 40-50 miles a week.. Remember, there is no finish line. Nick

Hi Nick, well done. I think Fitbit must be trying to kill me! My cardio load today was 315. Fitbit tells me my range should be 354 to 391!!!  My average for the year is between 200 and 205. The target always seems a bit arbitrary to me. I am not at all seeking to say what a wonderful cardio the wood I am achieving I am just worried that I will never reach the target!! I am a youngster of 66!

Male, 52 years of age. 42 is my cardio score (very good for men my age). My typical weeks is 2 runs & 2 resistance days Monday to Thursday then ending the week with a longer, slower cardio (walk, run or exercise bike) session on the weekend whenever I can fit it in.

My thing now is trying to keep my fitbit telling me I'm "improving fitness" on the new cardio load/target load thing to see if it actually helps me raise my score or not.

I'm a 70 year old male with a score of 36/40. It says that's good for my age. But I'm seeing conflicting info on that.

I am 69 and my cardio fitness score is currently 41.  I have been off for a while after having a surgery, but starting to get back into running.

I see your comment was 7+ years ago, so I hope you're still doing well. I just hit 75 this week, and my cardio score is 55, give or take 2. While I don't run, I do strength training 3 times a week, and stretches the other days. I thank the Lord for comparatively good health for my age.

I would be interested in knowing how everyone has set their target cardio .  I’m 70, 6’2” and 195 lbs. My cardio average is around 60 in the weekly and monthly averages, but on exercise days, it will show up around 112 or so.  Resting pulse is 49 and even playing singles tennis (which I do three or four times a week), pulse rate never seems to go above 115 or so.  Since max rate is 150 for me (220 minus 70), and I never get close to that, I am clueless on how to set the cardio target. Any takers here?

My resting cardio rate varies on average around 61 to 62. Some weeks 58 to 59, when slightly ill 63 to67. Peak goes up to 150 when doing weights at the Gym. I dont wear when swimming but I would expect around 140 to 150 as I go full in for a length. Does vary according to sleep ( not enough and resting goes up ) and if I put on weight (goes up). Cardio fitness 53 to 57.
