How can I get my Fitbit to recognize my rebounder/trampoline workout? Currently it says I am on an elliptical machine, which isn't the case. This exercise routine is very popular and the Fitbit can do a better job of recording the steps if it acknowledges this exercise within the application. Thank you.

It would be very helpful if we knew which device you had so we could answer better.
Some have an exercise option while others do not

@Rebounder hey there and welcome. So you can edit the activity and call it whatever you like. The HR feature will capture your HR during the activity to give you a calorie burn that is close to accurate. However... unless you are taking actual steps, it will not give you an accurate step count. The tracker measures steps based on your stride length and your arms swinging.. you aren't actually stepping so it will give you steps, but more than likely similar to what it would count on an elliptical which it thinks you are doing..

Thank you. I appreciate you letting me know more about how the Fitbit works and how to work through some of these challenges. Unfortunately, it is things like this that make Fitbit frustrating. Thus, I have traded it in for an AppleWatch that syncs with my iPhone and gives me much better and accurate readings.
I just purchased fitbit inspire 3 model and i do rebounding (trampolining) as part of my daily workout. It's very frustrating that there isn't an option for this currently but when i googled the issue, it was recommended to set it to Aerobics or Workout. Hope this helps anyone who was just as confused as i was and frustrated 🙂
