Resting heart rate getting lower every day?

Over the past week and a half I have noticed my heartrate getting significantly lower. Ten days ago it was 68 bmp and the following days after I have had - 66, 63, 62, 60, 59, 59, 61, 59, 58 and today it is 57.

I got my fitbit alta in October last year and if anything I have done less exercise as the months have gone on. Below are my monthly averages -

October - 70

November  - 70

December - 70

January - 68

February - 70

March - 66

April - 65

May - 65

June - 63

July - 64

August - 59

I hadn't really thought anything of it up until this past week where it seems like it's going down every single day! I double checked my pulse as well just to make sure my fitbit was actually working correctly and it is! I don't do much exercise and I only average about 7k steps a day so it's not like I'm really fit or anything. I'm really worried as I read a heartrate of under 60 means you have a condition called Bradycardia? What could be causing this?! Has anyone else had a similar thing and do I need to go to the doctors? If it helps I am a 25 year old female, 5ft 5 and about 8 stone (112lbs). Thanks!

I dunno.Sounds like things are going very well for you. You must be doing something right as your cardio seems to have gotten better every month.

58 is nothing to worry about. I assume it will eventually level off.

56-61 is listed as excellent for someone your age .

I'm overweight and do only 10000 steps a day and my resting HR has been anywhere from 58-61 .

I suppose it it just keeps going down and down you could see your doctor.

How has your cardio fitness score evolved during the same period? Unfortunately, Fitbit doesn’t keep track of the history, so you either have to make a mental note of it at various times, or write it down every now and then.

I wouldn’t be worried about your HR now being in the high 50’s, especially if you have become fitter during the past year (hence my question about your cardio fitness score, though you probably know whether or not you are fitter even without the score).

Given your age and your weight, it’s very unlikely you’re at risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Mine has dipped into the 50's as well. According to what I have read...anything in the 60's and below is a great sign. Mine, however, was a lot more gradual!!
