Running heart rate

I’m relatively new to this whole running thing but I’m interested to see if anyone can tell me am I working too hard? I did 3k in 20 minutes and was in my peak zone for 11 minutes with a max of 186. I’m 22 years old therefore my max is 198 but I know you should work between 50-85% of max for target. My pace is usually around 7 so should I slow down?

It’s a "problem" that should fix itself automatically: as you run more and become fitter, your HR will start falling when running at the same speed, or you will be able to run faster while having your HR at the same level as when currently running at a lower speed.

Thank you Dominique! So I should carry on at the pace I’m going to train myself!
