Been getting quite a few steps in the snow that was most recently dumped in Michigan - 67 inches so far! And my Fitbit One has been clocking them all! How bout you? I had 10,000 steps from just digging out the other day!

Well @Jabrat , I have stepped in the snow a lot in the past few months, with hopefully more to come, because I love winter. But I do so wearing snowshoes!
So my steps in the snow burn a lot more than yours! HA HA HA!

Same here. Got 10 in of snow the other day in Boston. Went well over my 10,000 step goal by walking and shoveling snow. I almost hit 15,000 steps yesterday. Love my Fitbit !!!!!!

Yes! The other day during a big snowfall I got an uphill walk on an unplowed sidewalk! It was a great workout!

Bless you guys, guess it depends on how much snow vs. ice you're talking about as well as how old you are. At 25 a fall on the ice usually just hurts. If you're over fifty the possibility of breaking something goes way up and/or choking on your dentures...

Did you ever try snowshoeing? It's a lot of fun. The season will soon come to an end here in my neck of the woods; but hopefully I'll be able to get out there a least once more. It's a terrific workout - you break into a sweat within 10-15 mintues. I usually go for 60 or 90 minutes, subject to how cold it is and the wind. I'm lucky enough to live in an area where I can just walk a block and I am on a nature trail that goes of for 5 miles; and yet with neighbourhood homes always in sight, which is important to me, for health concerns.
Have a nice day.
