I read different things all over the internet, but I really want to hear from real peoples experience
I have what doctors think is POTS syndrome, my heart rate gets really high on standing.
My question for the healthy people, what is your heart rate just standing? I’m 35, 6’5, 250. I’m up and around walking a lot at work (at least a couple miles a day). When I’m having a bad day I’ll have a 60 resting heart rate and it’ll jump to 120 upon standing. On a good day I’ll go from 60-90 and it’ll drop back down to the 70s.
thanks in advance

I am a female, 49, 5 7 and 130 pounds. My RHR is 50-52 and standing up it stays pretty much the same. My HR doesn't usually increase by much unless I get super animated talking or laughing while walking and of course during workout activities, fast walking, dancing, etc.

I'm 49, male, 5'10", 162 lbs. According to fitbit, my average resting HR this month is 56 bpm.
Sitting down reading this my HR was 62. When I stood up, waited for about a minute and it was 72. As I sat back down and typed this, it dropped to 58. I repeated the exercise and it went up to 78 after standing for a minute, and then dropped back down to 61 after sitting for a couple of minutes..

I have POTS - I'm 39, f, 5'11, 195lbs and my RHR is between 80-88 and on a bad day just standing my HR can easily go to 140 especially if i'm on my feet for more than 10 minutes; it usually hovers between 120-130.

Responding to the original post by @Nsofokles; I read your question as what happens to someone without POTS when they stand up.
In my case, I'm a 63 year old male, in decent shape but still overweight at 5' 8" and 220 pounds; my RHR these days hovers a point or two either side of 45 BPM. Just now, I checked my heart rate on my Fitbit Ionic and saw it was sitting at about 54; I suddenly stood up and them monitored what happened; over the next minute my heart rate gradually rose to 61 before settling back to 56. Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but I hope it helps.
