Stationary bike calories with charge 2

How does everyone count calories for that? My heart rate doesn't go very high (100ish) but my legs feel it and I doubt I'm only burning 60 calories in 30 minutes (workout setting).

@Francl27, if you are not spinning enough to raise your heart rate more than that, you are probably burning about 4 or 5 calories a minute - depending on your age, sex, height, weight, etc.

But that's the thing - today, 12 minutes. HR went up to 105. It said I burned 31 calories. I can walk in the same time, it's nowhere as hard on my legs, and I burn 60 calories! It makes absolutely no sense.

That was using the 'spinning' option. When I deleted the workout from my log and added it manually, it put 41 calories instead (I assume that's based on my heart rate at the time?).

Either way, not exactly sure what to trust at this point. It's frustrating.

@Francl27, I suggest you go to the MapMyFitness calculator page for calculating the calories you burn for differentt types of exercises.  You enter all of your data, select the type of exercise and duration of it to get a report on the estimated calories you should burn. Keep in mind that this tool, like most others, is a best-guess estimate since it does not use the heart rate in the calculation.  But, it should give you an idea of how many calories you are burning.  If you are not familiar with the calculator, go to the link below:

That's a HUGE overestimate there though. 15 miles in one hour gives me a 715 calorie burn with my stats... it doesn't ask for HR or resistance or anything.
