Staying motivated and creative when recovering from an injury

I didn't find a related discussion about staying motivated with an injury, so am starting one.

My hip went rogue and may take months to heal completely so I can't do any weight bearing exercise.  This pretty much has changed my whole routine, which consisted of hiking and other such things.  Now it's swimming and PT type stuff. 

I find it hard to switch my routine and miss hiking.  It's hard to stay motivated.  Anyone else out there that is struggling with this sort of thing?

Yes its hard but you will be back to it in time.

 

I found some chair exercises on YouTube that have helped me. I also love to Box so I found a sitting Boxing DVD to use until I can get back to my other
