Ok - so I love my fitbit charge. It provides the other side of my life that I don't capure with my garmin Edge 1000 or forerunner.
I get reliable HR and GPS information from my garmin devices that I sync with strava.
I setup strava to sync with fitbit.
When I look at those synced activities in the fitbit dashboar one semi-valuable piece of information seems to be missing - my heart rate.... Why is that? I don't wear my charge during my rides because it seems to count my steps while riding - I don't need that.
Can someone share with my how they use their charge and garmin devices together to get all the information in one place?
thanks!

Hi @z00tv -- welcome to the forums. What you are already getting with the Strava integration is an automatic way of importing your garmin recorded workouts into Fitbit's app so you've got one place to evaluate your total daily calorie burn in a great community. That's a pretty good thing, and that is also how I get my Garmin workouts into Fitbit.
But I also like the HR detail I get from my Garmin devices when I do a bike ride or hike -- and I can evaluate that data on their app. In fact I prefer to evaulate it on thier app because then I can also see garmin metrics like cadance or foot strikes/minute at the same time that Fitbit does not capture because it only uses GPS, accelerometer, and HR data (if your Fitbit records HR data).
Still, it would be nice if Fitbit allowed you to use an external HR monitor (maybe one of the combo kinds to broadcast to both garmin and to bluetooth apps on your phone) to override their wrist based Charge HR and Surge for the duration of the activity. Many people report that the Fitbit HR and Surge are great with the all day HR tracking, but not as good as chest straps for intense exercise. A few folks have made that suggestion in the "feature requests" forum. If you like the idea, vote f... Or submit your idea in that forum so others can vote for it and the fitbit developers can see what users want as they build their next generation products and upgrade their software.
