I think I'm as far as I can go at losing weight by walking and burning my calories alone. I need to add more exercise types to my working routine. I probably need to add some sort of strengthing type exercises, but I don't know where to start. I'm not always able to get to a gym, so it's going to have to be things that I can do at home that don't require a whole lot of stuff.
Help?

Get a set of therabands/ tubing (available at Marshalls for 10$), start with low resistance/ high rep, move on to good old bodyweight exercises like push ups and planks, check Youtube for exercises and suggestions for progression. If you feel fancy, check out the TRX suspension training. I built myself a basic version out of two dog leashes and a dog collar (10$ Total, dollar store/Petsmart) and used it all summer, clamping it on tree branches in the park. Got great results! Again, plenty of exercise videos for TRX available for free on the Internet.

Try getting the workout trainer app. It is free, but they do have upgraded versions, so you will see offers to pay for the premium or pro. I was fairly inactive, other than regular daily movement like walking, climbing stairs, etc. I lost 50 lbs just drinking more water, cutting out fast food, walking more and doing yoga. The app offers serveral different types of exercises, as well. Yoga helps with balance and focus. Calisthenics is a good type of body weight exercise that will help you with strength training, too. Good luck!

I would suggest downloading the Sworkit app, I find it a great addition to fitbit and I can follow cardio and strength exercises with video domos for various exercises. It's my go-to app for fitness at home.

If you live near a Planet Fitness, I suggest joining them at least for a couple months. It's only $10 a month, and they have free trainers.
Personally, I prefer working out with a single dumbbell when at home. I also do a few simple body exercises. I don't take any rest breaks. I figure my right arm rests while my left arm works.

@CRSunrise: You can do some of the basic strength training at home with no cost like plank, squats, push ups, lunges/walking lunges, jumping jacks. Pick 3 or 4 exercise and do 3 reps of 10 (slowly you can increase your reps) every day, you would see some changes.
Good luck.
