Swimming and Calories Burned

I wish Fitbit would track the heart rate of a person when they are doing laps. Is there a way to do that?

Manually on the computer I can log in time and length of swim, but when I enter in length and I get faster swimming the same length it tells me that I burned less calories. If anything, I should be burning more if I can swim the same distance in a faster time because of my bpm.

The Fitbit is not accurate in this way, but what do you guys think?

currently there is no way to have the HR feature and have it waterproofed. I think somewhere down the line there will be a version, but right now there isn't. flex 2 will give you activity and possible steps because it is waterproof, but no tracker will give you HR.
