Take Walking Breaks at Work Every Day

The author of this article talks about what happens when she takes a walking break at work every day for a month. The results & benefits are very interesting.

"So this past September, I gave myself a challenge: Step away from work for at least five minutes every day for a month—and leave the cell phone behind. My goal was to get out of the office and into the sunshine and just be present. I work in Cambridge, MA, and fall here is beautiful, not to mention bustling (thanks to the arrival of new students at Harvard and MIT). Spending my entire workday indoors seemed like a crime. Here's what happened when I finally forced myself to get out and get moving."

Good article. Will need to try this at home now that I'm retired.

That's a great idea for as long as you can. We've been having great weather so far this Fall here in New England. Once it starts getting into sub-zero temperatures, that will be a little more challenging.

And what a Fall it's been, it was 64°F when I went out for my lunchtime run today!  That said, I'm kind of a season agnostic in that I like all of the seasons, errr, except I can becme a bit annoyed with the heat, humidity, and bugs during the summer time up here in New Hamster.  🙂
