In this post, the author (Michael Matthews) explains what you should do to get rid of loose skin after weight loss. Basically, it’s quite simple (according to him!): 1) get your body fat down to 10% for men (20% for women), 2) then pack on a lot of muscle to fill in the gaps. How didn’t it occur to me .
Funny thing is my own mid-section looks very much like the guy in the first photo:
I can pinch skin in that area exactly like him.
I’m now at my lowest weight in my entire Fitbit time (three years):
But I’m still a long way from 10% BF

I remember there used to be an advertisement for the breakfast cereal "Special K" that had as their advertisement "Do the Special K pinch". The ad went on to say, "If you can pinch more than an inch, you probably do [need to lose weight]". I always thought it was silly. My sister has never needed to lose weight in her life, yet she could still "pinch an inch". It seems to me they stopped that slogan due to some complaints about accuracy, but I'm not sure.

@Dominique this guy is speaking in general terms. because for some that will never happen. there are so many things to consider- age, the amount of skin, what happened before weight loss (childbirth, third try on weight loss, etc). its like the commercials I hear that if we wrap you in seaweed and zap you with electricity you will come out 20 pounds thinner. laugh and change the channel. and I think what irritates me the most is his "can do" attitude- all you have to do is.. sigh. I love when you post links- its good reading

Yes, I’m fully aware that there is no universal solution that can solve the problem for everyone. This reminds me of the advice given earlier this year to drink half your body weight in ounced of water and that would cause your loose skin to disappear, even after losing 90 and 60 pounds. I would want to see before and after photos in order to believe it! Drinking enough water is definitely a good idea, and that recommendation is even smaller than Fitbit’s, but it won’t automagically remove loose skin after weight loss.

LOL.
He also says smoking makes your skin 9 years older. But if you quit smoking for 9 months, the biological age of your skin will be reduced by 13 years. Sounds like smoking and quitting is better for your skin than being a non-smoker.
That article has WRONG written all over it.
