I got a FitBit for Christmas! I've had the Zip in the past, but got a charge - much easier to use regularly IMO. Just earned a Happy Hills badge!

Hi, I am a very happy new Fitbit owner, having exchanged one with my wife at Christmas.
I find the device is really helping me to get out there and exercise. I have always enjoyed walking, but now I walk with purpose, and I walk faster and for a longer duration than I would have done before. The dog is benefiting too: she now gets a 90 minute walk from me pretty much every day, before it would have been 60 minutes at best.
Badge-wise my best so far is 30,000 steps in a day. I hope to build that up gradually and get to 100,000 steps by June. About 25 years ago I was fit enough to do the Cross Wales Walk which is about 45 miles in a day. I estimate that 100,000 steps will be a similar distance, and I'd love to be that fit again.

Thanks for the support and encouragement @essieL .
I received my London Underground distance badge yesterday & I'm very pleased with progress so far.
I noticed you mentioned on another thread that you have got your 100,000 steps badge. That must have been some day of walking!
Cheers
Steve
