I am lucky enough to work for a company that provides me with a sit down/stand up desk. My entire desk (L Shaped with over 8 feet by 2 feet of space) goes up and down so everything stays ergonomically correct. I am thinking about adding an under desk treadmill for use when I am standing. Does anyone know of a compact treadmill that can be tucked under a desk but will still fold up when not in use?

Google Lifespan Treadmill - you'll know more than you ever wanted to know! I have arthritis and have to sit after a while, especially when we are in storm mode and I am in the middle of a 7 day, 17 hours on/7 hours off shift schedule.
I think what I could do is place the treadmill under my desk and use a stability ball as my chair when I need to sit. I could make a wooden platform with raised edges to fit over the treadmill so that I wouldn't accidentally roll off the edge. The platform would be lightweight enough and small enough to tuck under my desk when not in use. Hmmm, I sense a patent...
