Did you mean:

VAM, an activity which tricked the Fitbit and gave me 100% VAM with no effort.

I have also posted this under Product Fitbit One but thought it wise to post it here as well.

VAM, an accidental test. I did not believe what I saw in my Activities so I reproduced the activity.

The activity was wearing both the Ultra and the One and using a 30" Swiss exercise ball. The first time was by accident because I had the Fitbit's on my jeans, and because part of my lower back regime, the Physio has now included the exercise ball in addition to the swimming. I was bouncing on the spot for nearly 30 minutes while watching TV and I forgot I had the Fitbits there.  When I synced 45 minutes later I could not work out where the VAM cam from.

What alarmed me was the first 27 minute exercise ball session, I received 27 minutes of VAM (Very Active Minutes), so  I did another 26 minutes, again 100% VAM..... No way...., so I had tricked the accelerometer on each Fitbit. Now I can probably understand how mini trampoliners may get accelerated readings.

In my case it was bouncing at only 101 bounces/minute, my heart rate was 69 (my resting HR is 53 bpm, and the calories on the HRM were too low to be real, just above sedentary). Both Fitbits recorded the calories like I was on a 4mph+ walk and each had 10 leaves after the 26 minutes, wow 10 leaves in 26 minutes.

This result was similar to my ankle testing last year. It also helps me understand the golden grail of 11 leaves for sustained activity, and it is not the amount of activity or speed you do, but a combination of type of activity in relation to the time...  Now I have to find the "type" of activity....and I might hit 11 leaves. Still trying after 2 years.  At least I was "sort of active"...
