@krmilkman, what you posted may be awesome, or it may not be anything of note. Give us a better description of your physical capabilities; are you 20, or are you 90? Are you overweight or in top condition? Do you have a history of exercise or is this your first exercise session in years? Was the above referenced walk to the limit of your abilities, or was it just a stroll in the park?

For a confirm on the calorie burn, try this, using the Gross option which is what Fitbit would be reporting.
https://exrx.net/Calculators/WalkRunMETs
Usually the device is using HR-based calorie burn when you start a workout - and that will give inflated calorie burn down near the bottom of the aerobic exercise range like walking causes. It's also inflated at the top of the aerobic range before going into anaerobic - like sprinting, though that's not the side of the workout right now.
So that will tell you how close that part of the estimate is.
As to other aspects - the factors shipo mentioned matter for a comparison.

I used the link which Heybales provided and the metrics from there look accurate. I go to the gymn everyday (quite literally). For the cardio part, I walk about 4.25 miles on a treadmill in an hour. The average number of calories I burn is on average 275 to 300. I am 5'6" and I weight 125 Lbs. That metric of 717 calories seems extremely high.

Sorry shipo your right, its the details that count.
Age: 52
5'6" and currently 171lbs.
Overweight by 15lbs or more depending which site you look at.
been walking for 8 months
And I would say that by the end of the walk I wasn't dying but was worn.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the update @krmilkman, I have a few comments:
FWIW, I am 64, weigh 220 (and yes, I DO need to lose weight), and am only 5' 8". Even still, I just wrapped up June with just over 156 miles of running (virtually all of it on trails), and can knock off a 10-mile trail run in about one-hour and forty minutes. I didn't tell you that to brag, more as an illustration of what can be accomplished as you age.

@krmilkman what are you trying to accomplish though? Are you walking to increase overall health and add extra calorie burn to your day? Are you using it for weight loss? And I understand your comment about feeling worn. At the end of a walk or run there are a few minutes of "why did I do that" but it passes. By the end of the day, when I have clocked in 10 miles plus "life", I feel worn and am ready to lie down. As for your question in general, I think you have a good pace. I think your calorie burn for the activity is close enough to accurate based on your age, weight, and length of activity.
