After having wore my fitbit on my wrist as instructed, and assuming it was accurate for quite sometime, I came to find out that it is completely inaccurate as I apparently do not swing my arms enough while walking for it to catch all the steps! I now wear it on my ankle, don't miss a step count or the correct number of miles. I have checked it to be sure of it's accuracy now several times, by re-driving my walking route with my car, having the odometer set to start at zero. 🙂
Fitbit needs to make an ankle strap for the bit to slip into, but.......the large band fits my ankle perfectly, so all is well!!!! Just thought I'd share incase their are others who have noticed that they are only being credited for half their walk!! 🙂
Have a blessed day, y'all!!!

I completely agree with ankle wearing. I’ve been doing it for a few weeks. It is more accurate, heart rate still works, I get steps when I push a grocery cart, it doesn’t go crazing when I push my vibrating lawnmower, it does think I’m stepping when I brush my teeth or wash my hair, and many other things! I’m a guy, and people might think I’m wearing an anklet, or a monitor for the police, but, I don’t care. I get to wear my favorite manly watch on any wrist.

or a monitor for the police
Couple times I've been in line at the store and have seen women casually slide their children behind them. 😂

When I wear my B Great band it tracks my steps but the active minutes get deleted when synced to the app. The app also does not sync the hours for the 250 steps. It does sync the steps. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am finding that the heart rate reading is very high on my ankle. Just finish treadmill walking at 4 mph and Fitbit was reading my heart rate at 187 when it was really 120.

Hi JR
You probably already figured it out by now, but for anyone just seeing this conversation, if you have it positioned right next to your skin, you should get heart rate no matter where it is. It reads by pointing that little light beam at your skin surface capillaries.

It isn't pulse rate, you couldn't get that from the outside wrist anyway. It's looking at tiny veins.

straps are too small. My fitbit is a flex 2 which they don't make anymore.
You can always tuck it in your socks. Regards Suzanne

I started doing the same thing because the Fitbit was not tracking my steps accurately. 😁❤️
