I am a female in her early 40's looking to lose ~60-70 lbs. I would like to ease myself into dedicating an hour walking 10,000 steps a day, every day, eventually. And that is on top of the 5,000 to 8,000 steps (on a very good day) that I log at work. My schedule is tight so I am hoping to have a buddy system that keeps me committed and accountable.
If you're interested in doing this together, please let me know!

Welcome to the community, @SVWalker ! I hope you can find a buddy to accompany you on your journey. As a side note, I’ll say it takes more than an hour walking (even brisk walking) to get 10k steps. I usually get 7000-7500 steps per hour. Granted, I walk outdoors, partly on rocky forest paths, and that probably slows me down a bit. However, I’m pretty sure I couldn’t get 10k in an hour even on a treadmill.
PS: I noticed you posted the same message in the Manage Weight forum. Try to refrain from cross-posting / multi-posting (see the section on Good Network Etiquette in the Community Guidelines).
