what do you like to watch while on the treadmill or a stationery bike to keep you motivated, or fight boredom? Winter Olympics, videos of exotic locales, old Tour de France videos, etc.?

I’m an avid learner of foreign languages, so I typically watch YouTube videos of Americans living in Mexico and/or trying to learn spanish, and some that are learning German, Swedish, and Russian (the other languages I’m learning). It’s pretty fun. If that fails, I listen to spanish pop, like Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, 3BallMTY, and others. Spanish pop gets my blood pumping a lot better than any other type of music!

If I take a break from running I usually live stream my cable company. So I'm either able to watch live tv or things that are saved from on demand. It sure does make the time fly by. If you have Netflix try logging into that and pick a series!

I use treadmill very rare but sometimes I use a stationary bike at home. Then I either read something ( using velcros I just stick a reader to the bike 😄 ) or watch something not very demanding ( hard to focus on the TV when huffing and puffing 😉 ). Usually, I use such equipment in the gym so not really possible to watch anything, however, I've been thinking of using GearVR lately. My concern is that it may be a bit dangerous ( although spinning should be fine, for sure running is not an option with the VR goggles ).

I prefer music to watching anything- I walk really fast or run so I need something with a beat or pace to keep up with. I tried watching a movie once.. it did make time go faster but I didn't enjoy the treadmill time as much.

I watch a classic movie on DirecTV on my tablet - fits nicely on the tablet holder.

I started watching the documentary series Dirty Money on Netflix while on the treadmill. It is very interesting and forces me to stay on the treadmill through the entire episode. Since it is a documentary, if you are moving too quick to focus on the screen, it isn't a big deal because it isn't really visual. Also the volume stays steady instead of the constant increasing and decreasing as with more dramatic shows/movies so the sound of your feet on the treadmill isn't an issue. I found I could walk at any speed and even do sprint intervals while still keeping up with the show.

Hi, I take audiobooks or a movie out of the library and listen or watch them from my tablet when I am on the treadmill. I used to never listen to audiobooks and am glad I found a use for them. Good luck!

I look at the treadmill metrics while listening to music when I run.

Looks like it's quite a good way of cycling indoor and spending time racing with other people 🙂 Pity, it's not a cheap "toy" but I admit if not the price I'd get one for myself 😄

Hi! I'm also working on learning Spanish. Do you have any favorite YouTubers? I love Easy Spanish.

I listen to music and stare at the wall lol. I do a lot of thinking when I run. I can't hear a darn thing when trying to watch something anyway.

I tried listening to music, when spending time on my turbo trainer. Realized I'm a visual person so had to switch to watching something.
I'm a software architect so often find conference recordings keep me occupied, failing that a movie or two or binge watch a box set on Netflix or Prime.
Have just subscribed to Aubiable, although haven't used it while on the trainer, yet 🙂

I don't have cable and very rarely watch the news at home, so when I'm at the gym and I'm on the elliptical machine, I watch the news to see what is going on in the world. Most of the time, it makes me angry and fuels a really good work out.
