What is a "normal" fluctuation range for weight at maintenance?

I started with Fitbit in early April 2013 at 75 kg (BMI 24.8) and bought an Aria scale three months later (late June 2013). By that time, I had already lost about 5 kg. During the three years I’ve had my Aria, my weight (as smoothed out by TrendWeight) has fluctuated almost all the time between 65 and 69 kg (143 and 152 lbs, BMI 21.5 and 22.8):

Would you say 4 kg (9 lbs) is a "normal" fluctuation range when at maintenance?

For the past four months, I’ve been trying to get a bit leaner and it’s now the longest time (already two months) I’ve spent below the aforementioned fluctuation range:

I guess I’m now entering the proverbial "last five pounds" territory. Still have some fat left in my mid-section, so I guess I must go further down in that new territory Smiley LOL.

@WendyB: as a number person, I love TrendWeight. I wonder why Fitbit doesn’t implement something similar in the Dashboard and in their app. The weight and BF graphs in Fitbit are really lame.

I think the answer is, "It all depends."

In the running and cycling community, especially in the summer time, an individual's weight can fluctuate four kilograms in a single day, often more; even when one gets on the scale at the same time per day.

Case in point, my run on Thursday evening was long (a little over sixteen kilometers) and the weather was much warmer and more humid than what we've experienced so far this year.  In spite of being well hydrated before the run and in spite of drinking more than three liters of water and green tea that evening, Friday morning's display on the scale was over three kilograms lower than the morning before; Saturday's display was about the same as Thursday's.

I'm about your same weight. I dropped from 180 lbs to 145 lbs back in 2012. I dropped another 2 lbs while eating at maintenance during the first month and then hovered at 143 +/- 2 lbs for 2 years while tracking exercise and food intake. I then stopped tracking and my weight creeped up slowly over time to about 150. I then started tracking and the weight dropped fairly easily and then I continued losing until I got to 140. I then got hurt and couldn't run my normal 40 miles per week and the weight creeped back to 155. I started tracking again and increased my exercise and I'm back down to 150, on my way back to 145 (hopefully).

Long story short, I think it's normal to have your weight creep up a little and then drop once you decide to take corrective action.

what was happening in 2015? I am pretty sure if I saw fluctuation like that, I would be a sobbing mess. I am OK with a pound up and a pound down. Anything more that that, I firm up my intake count to every morsal...
