Hi fellow fitbitters, last month I bought my first fitbit (active 4). Overall I am really satisfied with my fitbit, but I do find myself cheating to get those activity/zone minutes in. So I will be walking a bit faster to just get into certain zones, but these zones seem kinda coarse grained.
So I used the fitbit API to get all my heart rate data and analyze my days more in-depth. The figure below shows the different percentiles of my heart rate for each day. This means that the 0th percentile is the lowest measured heart rate of the day. The 96th percentile indicates the (minimum) heart rate for the 4 percent highest measurements. The boxplot in the figure shows the historical heart rate data (of the past month), while the red points show the last day. The bottom plot shows the difference in percentiles between the current day and historical data.
As you can see I might need to do some more light-cardio today to get back to my average levels. Just wanted to share how this extra insight motivated me to exercise more. If people are interested I will share the code required to do this analysis.

@dr.Data vry interesting information. I must say I am not familiar with the fitbit you say you have and I am pretty familiar with all of them. Which feature do you like the most?
