What's the one song that motivates you?

I have that one song. You have that one song. We all have that one song. Some people have more than one song (that's okay!). What is the one song that gets you fired up?

For me, if I'm diggin' some alternative, it's Sleigh Bells' "Infinity Guitars." If I need to hear some nice hip-hop to get my workout going, my go-to is Kanye West's "Power."  If I need some EDM in my life, I go with this amended version of Lana Del Ray's "Summertime Sadness." As far as song in movies go, John William's composition of "Battle of the Heroes" does it for me!

As a bonus, my good friend @GraceFitbit reminded me how good the year 2005 was, and went with Beyoncé's Crazy In Love .

Above all else, there is the one song that gets me ready to work hard and reach for the improbable. It is one of the most popular songs in the history of the world, and universally one of the most motivating. I am speaking, of course of Ludwig Van Beethoven's "5th Symphony in C Minor."

Now that you have an idea of what songs get our blood ready to flow and our hearts ready to race, we have to know- what song motivates you?

To dance is surely to get fitness by motion.

Then there is music.

Some musical instruments need more physical movement than others.

Trumpet and horn are not physically easy to blow.

Many pianists play using strong arms.

Drumming is certainly a muscular occupation.

And so on.....

Personally I play Bayan, or a Russian accordion. In an "Uchebnic" or Instruction Book it is said:

"Igrat na Bayane, eta jest Rabota" To play an Bayan is to work"

So playing music yourself does not only a question of improving and calming your mind.

It does also keep you physically fit.

Active musicians, both amateurs and professionals, are rumored to have clearer brains than others at old age than those that do not play music themselves..

Presumablythey  also get a fitter body by playing music.

-------------

The point with music is that, if nothing else, then you can whistle while you walk. Why not play a harmonica? Even a flute?

At home or on the beach or in the woods is playing music *yourself* good for both your mental and also your physical state.

Blowingin the wind is good för your lungs.

I have found that if I am awake in the too early morning, then playing some music with my Bayan helps both the body and the brain to relax and be ready for me to fall asleep again.

I do presume that the BitFit robotical listeners  ought to react on active music-playing also. I might try it out sometimes.

Excellent information and observation @ChucktheMonk. I also heard that your concentration improves while you play an instrument or if listen to a certain type of music.

You said that you play the Bayan, this must be a difficult instrument to play or to learn how to play. I bet you are really good at it and enjoy playing it very much. Smiley Happy

I like many types of musics/songs (you should see my stations on Pandora!) but for walking at a fast pace or working out I really like rap for that. Especially "twerk" music like I Love Dem Strippers by Tyga...crazy I know but those kinds of songs have the best tempo and beats and really get me going! Almost anything by Tyga, YG, or Juicy J!
