When to log running

If I log running 2 miles does it add steps to my daily total?  My reason for asking is that I was wearing my fitbit on my run.  I know how many steped I had when I finishend and when I logged my run, it added more.  Should I only log if I am not wearing the fitbit during activity?

Yes, you only need to log running manually if you were not wearing the tracker while you were running - you can make a note that the activity was running without affecting the step count, if you wish.

Hope this helps

I would only log if you haven't worn the Fitbit during the exercise. The reason being is it alters accuracy of the tracker. If you run on a treadmill at 4 MPH, and sometimes at 2.5 MPH, then 4 MPH again, but you log in a total 4 MPH, it would be incorrect and remove your very active minutes and how many calories you truly burned.
