When will Reformer Pilates be added as an exercise you can track in the app?

Hey everyone, I am a recent fitbit convert and loving it. My only grumble is that the choice of exercises you can 'log' is quite limited. I know Reformer Pilates isn't step based so it's hard to track, but surely it wouldn't be hard to add it as a separate exercise that you can log, alongside yoga and beginners mat pilates. It really is a different thing, and the calorie burn is totally different as a result. How do you get fitbit to add a new option? Thanks!

Hi @MPoll,

At this link, you can officially propose adding this type of pilates to Fitbit.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Why not use workout mode. Then set up a custom exercise. Then you can rename it on your Dashboard when it syncs.

If they add it this will work for now.

Problem is: we don’t know whether @MPoll has a Fitbit that will let her log exercises on her device (e.g. Ionic, Charge 2) or one that doesn’t support that feature (e.g. Alta HR). If supported, I agree logging it as WORKOUT makes sense.

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

Hey, I should have said it’s an Alta HR! Not sure if that means this option is not available?

If there's enough effort involved it may just auto-track it as a workout or sport and then you could go back and rename it.  I let everything except weight lifting auto track (mostly I'm lazy and/or forgetful to start/stop) and then go back and rename it later.
