Which arm do you wear your FitBit on?

When I got my FitBit I put it on my non-dominant hand which is my left hand. I hate it on there because it feels unnatural.

Despite being a righty I always wear my watch (whenever I wear watches) on my right hand. So I put my FitBit on my right hand, set it to "Dominant" and went with it.

My reasoning is pretty simple. The reason I got the FitBit in the first place was to track my activity which I do every day. Everyone says movement is the key so limiting the recording of your movement to something that doesn't move as often seems a bit silly. I feel using the dominant hand makes more sense because it gives a truer idea as to how much movement I really do.

I guess some might see it as cheating but I don't see how it is cheating if you're doing the work anyway.

How about you. Do you wear your FitBit on your dominant or non-dominant hand?

For me I prefer non-dominant. I'm used to wearing watches or bracelets on my left wrist. It feels weird to have anything on the right.

I wear it on my non-dominate, because usually when I am walking around at work, I am carrying with my dominant hand, which menas no movement will be recorded because im not swinging my arm.

I wear it on my non-dominant. My dominant hand/arm is always involved in all the crazy things I do in life so having it on my non-dominant proves to be less of a hassle in general.

I  wear mine on the non-dominant. It was a little hard to get used to at first but now I hardly notice it. I dont feel like I use one arm more than the other even though I am technically a righty as well!  Bottom line is that it is your decision and you can wear it on whichever side that you would like. It seems to be doing the job for you even though is on your dominant hand, right? As long as you feel ok about it, I guess that is what truly matters!Smiley Happy

I definitely use one hand more than the other. I work as a computer technician so my left hand is largely left idle holding onto parts while I screw them in.

Typing is largely two handed though and I'm not a touch typist so they get a lot of movement and very little RSI. I also use my mouse with my right hand so definitely it gets a lot of working out.

I also tend to drive one handed with my left hand on the gear shift (we drive on the right hand side of the car) so just about everything I do favours my right hand therefore it makes the most sense to track movement based on that hand.

I wear mine on my non dominant hand, which is my left. But i use my left for my track ball on the computer and other writing. I can not wear it on my right for the fact that i have permanent plates and screws in it and the weight of the band it too much for my wrist. I've learned to use both hands equally.

I wear my FitBit Flex on my right wrist.  I have worn a watch on my left wrist 24/7/365 for 25 plus years and have no intention of stopping now.  The FitBit and my watch get tangled up when they're on the same wrist so I wear the FitBit on my right.  Ironically I set the settings for Non-dominant hand because my Flex chronically under reports my steps by 15 % or more (when I take say 1,000 carefully counted steps, I get 750-800 most times added to my dashboard total, and sometimes even less than that) so the extra few steps that it is counting from my Non-Dominant hand setting versus being on my actual dominant hand is trying to reset that balance, not over reporting.  I don't notice any steps if I'm at my desk typing, I know that some people report typing giving them steps, but I don't seem to register them on my Flex.

I wear on my left, which is my non-dominant hand, but I set the Sruge to dominant becuase I find it is more accurate on steps for me.

I don't like things on my right arm so it is the left I have Charge HR on, and in Dominant setting, With some testing this seems to be the best for me.

I eat and write and use a hammer with my arm, but I do almost everything else as a right handed person would. There are those few things I can only do with my right hand, but the majority i use whichever arm is more comfortable to use at the moment.

I have a FitBit Flex and wear it on my non-dominate hand (my left), I usually also wear a watch on my left when I'm at work and haven't had any issues, I hate the feeling of something on my right and even though I type with both hands, I tend to have trouble/discomfort when typing if I have something on my right wrist.

Just got my surge and I've been wearing it on my right hand. I always wore a watch on the right so it just feels more natural for me.
