I'm doing my pre-purchase research and thought I'd see if any Fitbitters want to weigh in. I've basically narrowed it down to Jlabs Epic 2, Jaybird X3, Jaybird Freedom, and Beats Powerbeats 3. I'd love to hear opinions on these and others! Thanx

One thing to consider; I've seen it mentioned having Bluetooth sound interfering with fitbit-phone bluetooth communication such as for connected-GPS. But I have no idea how common that is, and it would depend on which device you have.

I used LG Tone Infinim for awhile. I quit using them because the speaker popped off the right ear bud. Other than that they were a nice design. They rest on your shoulder with retractable buds. That made for lots of room for a battery. They can play for 12 hours which is long enough for a walk. I'm not much for walking in circles and prefer walking as transportation. I may only walk 2-3 hours, but be gone 5-6 hours. I would likely find the resting on the shoulders annoying if I ran though.
I bought them mainly because I drive a semi. The truck I had at the time had an air leak around the windshield near the microphone for the radio which made for a high pitched squeal on it. These eliminated that. The noise cancelation wasn't great though, just adequate. That's keeping ambient noise off the microphone not cancelling it at the headphone. My hearing is impaired so sound quality doesn't really matter much with me. I question whether most hear well enough to tell the difference between headsets. You need instrumentation to measure which reproduced the source most accurately but not which sounds best to you. You can spend a lot of money on the most accurate reproduction only to not be able to hear the difference.
There's certainly a difference between price points, but within a price point it's largely marketing. So, to me, what matters is practical issues. Battery life is a big one. Related is what they do when the battery gets low. I had one set that beaped every 3 minutes for an hour. Except that annoying crap I would have gotten another hour out of them. How you charge them, some now have wireless charging. There's overear and overshoulder designs, with wireless you have to have a battery somewhere. Pairing with multiple devices can be good.

I use the Plantonics Backbeat Fit. Comfortable, 7 hours battery life. Highly recommended.
