I personally bought a Fitbit because I was fed up with my unhealthy lifestyle - my cousin was fixing my computer and he asked me to get the cord behind the desk - I said - I can't I'm too fat - he pulled the Fitbit One out of his pocket and he said really sweet - you need one of these Cousin Kathy - that night I went to the store and bought one - my life has forever changed - I love my Fitbit - best thing in the woooooorld !

@Jabrat Your cousin is your tech support! So what does he think of the changes you've made in your life?
I wish my family members would join the FitBit family. They are hooked into social media and texting, but they don't want to take the time to take care of themselves!
I got my Flex after researching online for something easy to wear and use. Consumer Reports rates the One pretty high and I almost got one, but I liked the idea of the band on my wrist. I like gadgets and my Flex works with my phone, laptop and computer, so it fits in my life perfectly. I like seeing my steps and knowing I'm doing something more than just sitting about.
You know how it is, we FitBit people seem rather nervous don't we? Always pacing or stepping in place and checking our devices.....addicts!

Because my daily activity and workouts are so varied that trying to do estimated TDEE just wasn't working well, usually ended up eating far too little for amount to lose and improvements I want from exercise.
Also wanted to spend last 6 weeks lifting at gym eating at slight surplus to maintenance to bulk without going overboard like usually happens.

I wanted something that would help motivate me to get walking more. I enjoy walking, but just wasn't doing it. I'm a total data geek though, so being able to just check my fitbit zip whenever I wanted to see how far I've gone that day was really great and motivating. I did get a little burnt out after a couple of weeks though, and was having some joint pain, so I took a few weeks off. I did keep wearing my zip though, so that I could see what my baseline was. Now I'm ready to get back to walking again, with more reasonable goals for me this time.

I lost 30 pounds by giving up gluten. I reached a plateau. I have 30 or so left to go. I thought the fitbit would motivate me to move more and break my plateau. I have had it a month and have lost only 3 more pounds but I am much more active. I have been very motivated by the online competition with my firends.

Reason I bought the fitbit is because it is linked to my gym xsport fitness activtrax membership. It real times all my foods to the personal trainer and my calories burned plus if I recorded activities it'll submit them automatically.
