Would putting the fitbit Flex on my ankle help track accurate cycling activity?

I commute via bike and want to track that activity other than manually. Has anybody tried wearing the fitbit Flex on their ankle?

Thanks!

I used to put a Fitbit in my sock sometimes for cycling.  It won't estimate calories right but at least you'll get some 'steps'.

If you care about the calorie estimation, you might get an inflated value for the time you ride.  If I was you I would try it and see how the calorie burn compares to the database activity or some other app like Endomondo or the value from a heart rate monitor.
