Hi! I'm so excited that I had to post. I've been working to reduce my body fat since April I'm very skinny on top and not so much on the bottom so I'm working to even out.
I just realized that I've made real progress to get to my goal of 20℅ BF or less.... And I've also gained muscle and kept the same weight. Hopefully that means I'm going a good job of replacing fat with muscle !
That said... I'm somewhat confused by the body composition machine they have at the gym. What does the segmental lean analysis part mean ? (When I ask at the gym I get conducting answers)
Thanks for your help!

These are the best articles I have found for describing the reports of these machines, @ActiveMommy. Maybe they will help you further analyze the report.
What your Body Composition Analysis actually means?

@ActiveMommy congrats on your successes... just remember our shape is pretty much based on genetics. so although you will for sure improve your overall look- don't go crazy trying to shrink your bottom if most females in the family are shaped the same..

I was 18℅ BF then so trying to get close in order to get back to my old body. Not easy bit going to try !!
@ActiveMommy: you may want to listen to this podcast on fat loss for females. In it, Lyle McDonald focuses quite a bit on already lean females who want to get even leaner (athletes, physique competitors etc.). You’re right, it certainly didn’t sound like it’s easy, there are lots of hurdles we men do not face in a similar situation. All the best with your endeavour!
