Did you mean:

bed time hacks that are sure to get you to sleep

ANSWERED

every now and then people have a bad night sleep but what if that bad night sleep wasn't the only one you were having, in fact, you could hardly get to sleep and when you did you could never stay asleep.

Well, I have had the same issues. I sometimes find it hard to stay asleep and sometimes even get to sleep but in these times I do these steps to make sure that I get a nice nights sleep.

1. I make sure that even when I am on school holidays I go to bed at the same time every night this helps your body clock to remember when your body should start winding down to bed.

2. Keep your work and sleeping areas separate. this will make sure that when you are in bed your body will know that you are going to sleep not watching a movie or writing an essay for school

3. Read a book 1 hour before bed. technology is very distracting and most of the time people watch T.V before bed this will delay the release of melatonin and we won't be able to go to sleep however reading is perfectly fine because melatonin is still able to be realised.

4.wake up at the same time every day. this will help your body to stay asleep until it is time to wake up in the morning because your body will know what time to get up.

5. last one sleep with no lights on in the room. normally when I go to bed I have a cordless alarm clock that can be carted so when I need a light that can be turned on and of at a press of a button I use that as a light to see where I need to go this helps  me sleep because I have no lights in my room so I dontget woken up because nothing shines in my eyes

I have a big problem with sleep management. It's very rare my sleep lasts longer than 5-6 hours. Although sometimes ( really rare ) I oversleep and wake up with a massive headache, most of the times I sleep not enough.

About lights, I found out that mild red light helps me sleep. I have an electric fireplace that I always run for the night ( just the light, not the heater ). It simply makes me feel sleepy. It's been scientifically proven that the colour of the light is no without meaning. The blue light will keep you awake, but when shifted towards orange/red colours it may be beneficial for your sleep.

I do read before sleep and indeed sometimes it makes me feel sleepy, but depending on the book - it may as well get me more awake so I must be careful about what I read before sleep 🙂
