My calories burned is way too high - how can I adjust that to be a more accurate. For example - yesterday I walked for 30 minutes and had 8k overall steps but I am showing 2274 calories burned for the day.

Welcome to the forums!
The calories burned are BMR calories. Your fitbit also calculates calories burned for your BMR. You burn calories just by being alive! Even Sleeping. Fitbit includes these burned calories in it's calorie calculations, so even if you did not wear the fitbit, you'll still burn these calories.

hello @pattyw531 and welcome. you can also go on line to a TDEE or BMR calculator to get a sense of what you burn daily with no activity or with some activity. This will also help you see if your Fitbit is on track with your calories burned estimate. Here is a site that offers all the calculations: http://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/
