cross country skiing

I'm a cross country skier and just started using Fitbit this month. I'm curious why my devices record of active activity doesn's accurately correspond to time on the snow. For example, yesterday I skied for 1:50 yet my activity log only shows 32 minutes of active. Cross country skiing is widely know as the most aerobic sport.

For a more accurate calorie count and such, manually add Cross Country Skiing in your activity log. Be sure to use the exact same start time, duration, and distance and it will overwrite the automatic log with the corrected info.

As for why it doesn't log it as 'active' correctly, those designations are based on overall wrist movement, so it might be that at the pace you were going, or with the wrist movement Fitbit sees, it didn't think it was active. Doesn't negate the workout.

Regarding recording activity on the FITBIT charge 2 and cross-country skiing, might using the "elliptical" function best mimick the motion of XC skiing and thus more accurately record it?
