There's no option to track those type of exercises.  But if your heart rate increases while doing those types activities the fitbit will detect the activity. .

It depends on the Fitbit model you’re using, but failing to know that, you could always log such activities.

Actually, the Fitbit Surge and the Fitbit Blaze will let you record an exercise type known as "WEIGHTS". But since the original poster didn’t tell which Fitbit model he or she’s using, we don’t know if that applies to his/her situation.

yes. you can log any activity and it will give you estimated calorie burn. Or you can set the stop watch feature and it will calc your calories during that activity. It won't know what you are doing, but it will give you stats based on time and HR readings. To use the stop watch feature, find the little black knob on the side of your fitbit and hold it in until it vibrates. When you are done, hold it in again until it vibrates - you will see a flag (finish line) and then a read out of how long, heart rate, calories, steps, miles, etc.

When I do something like rake leaves, I look at the Activities Log page on the Fitbit.com Dashboard, and I can pick out the period I'm doing the work from my fairly high per-period step count. Then I create an Activity Record across that time period and label it as Raking Leaves. I have a Charge HR, and I've found that for me, a bag of leaves is roughly equivalent to walking a half-mile at a decent pace. 🙂
