fit bit one - treadmill, stationary bike

I have a fitbit one. I wear it on my wrist.

It does not register my movement on the treadmill or on the stationary bike.

Anybody know why.

Fitbits register when your wrist moves up and down vertically as with a walking or running motion so they don't work on stationary bikes .
