Did you mean:

manual logging vs. pre-selected activiy

background: blaze owner. 1hr bootcamp/circuit/interval style class 3 days per week.

My question/issue:

1 started my excercise today for class, as circuit training. 20 min into my workout I accidently stopped the timer. I only noticed it after class. So, I hopped on a pc and manually entered the activity onto my dash board. My 20min log was listed, the system allowed me to manually log an entry on top of the activity. 5:04am start 20min duration, on watch, and a 5:00am 60min duration from the dashboard. That's weird within itself, but my issue is when I got to comparing the two entries, the 20min had fluctuations in calorie burn, while the manual entry had a steady 10cal/min. on top of that my phone shows actual calorie fluctuation. So, is this normal? I would assume, or like to see the fluctuation from any device/system.

I don't neccessarily have a reply for this post, however I too am curious about the manual entry vs the fitbit tracking ( as mentioned in this initial post). I also am curious as to what is the activity tracker vs manually adding the information ( i.e jogging a certain time if the flex battery died, and did not register the steps automatically). Also, if the flex tracks the steps and you manually add the distance etc.. does that double those steps ?

In a nutshell, what is the difference between the activity tracker vs the other manual entry in the Log database AND If the Flex calculates the steps during my run ( I do not take my phone with me and have the app track my route ) , will it double the steps if I enter the same info ( minus steps ) in the Log database. Hope that makes sense. If this post has already been asked, this can be moved to that thread, and I apologize if I stepped on this post with my 'reply'.

Thanks much!!
