Hello everyone, My name is Adrian and I lost 200 pounds in 1.5 years. I recently got a fitbit and it's an amazing device. I want to help people in the fitbit community lose weight too, Feel free to post any questions you might have and I will answer 🙂
No i did not use any pills and no I'm no trying to sell you anything lol. Just trying to help my fellow fitbit users achieve their goals!
I'm posting my before and after photos.
Before = 390ish pounds.
After = 225 pounds and with me is my fiancee whom I'm marrying on May 16th!
(Still trying to lose 25)
If anyone is curious I got the Surge because of GPS tracking and I like the whole watch idea behind it.

Wow! What an amazing accomplishment! Congratulations! I am in the process of losing 100 pounds (for the 2nd time in my life) and this time it's going to be for the REST of my life! I got the Flex in January and it has helped me get moving and get losing! I know that if I'm going to lose the weight and keep it off I've gotta move! I would love to hear more about how you lost so much. What are you eating? What are you doing to get in shape? Inspiration and motivation !

Good luck! If you've done it once you can do it again even though the second time is usually harder.
For me, food is and always was something I always escaped to. When I was mad, scared, hungry, sad, depressed or any other emotion, my first instinct was to eat eat eat. When I finally decided to lose weight I knew that had to stop (obviously) so I had to change my entire mindset. I was 390 pounds and already showing signs of my weight. My feet hurt and they were swollen, I had headaches and stomach aches almost every day.
First week was the hardest, I literally cried every night from hunger but I knew that I had to persist or I would fall of the wagon instantly. I'm one of those people that couldn't cheat on my final diet because If i cheated once, I would be back to square 1 instantly.
My diet was painfully boring lol. Grilled chicken, broccoli, fish, various frozen veggies and lots and lots of water. Nowadays I can't drink plain old water or I feel sick to my stomach so I have to buy those dasani water enhancer thingies or drink unsweetened iced tea/coffee.
Exercise? god...that word makes me cringe. I hate to exercise. Walking is how i lost weight. Last week actually I reached my 1000th mile walked while on my diet. I don't need fancy equipment or gym memberships.
Don't listen to fad diets, books, pills (especially pills) if there was a magic weight loss pill, there wouldn't be obese people out there. think about it.
It's all in our heads. Once we change our thinking, we can change ourselves as well as the world.

Huge congrats to you. 5 weeks to your marriage date so how are you doing now on those last 25 lbs? You are 100% right about eating for emotional reasons and needing to deal with what is happening in our heads. Then we get to figure out what to do with the feelings and how to meet our needs in a healthier way. Excuses and negative thinking seem to get in so many peoples way. Thought lie sometimes and I see that you have figured this out. I have to watch out not to go on auto pilot and be conscious when I snack or 1 handful of nuts turns into 3 or 4.
Are you and your sweetie learning a first dance for your wedding to a beautiful song? That is a lovely way to burn some cals.. She looks so lovely. I wish you the very best in your life together.
