new head to head challenge for beginners starting October 1st

Hi,

Do you walk 15,000 or less in a day? I don't mean your "average" as that may show lower if you walk a lot one day and then not a lot the next. I mean do you always walk only 15K or less in a day. If so then this challenge is for you! If you walk more than 15K a day please pass this one up.  I started it on Matchup and basically when you sign up for the challenge it will pair you up with a different person everyday. (hopefully I get enough interest so we don't have to repeat a person) The site does all the work you just sync your fitbit like you normally do and it will post your steps. You can see where your competitor is so you know if you have to step it up a little to win. It's just for fun and a great way to stay motivated.

Thanks Silvia! I had 24 signed up for the Challenge. It has really motivated me to keep walking. Last night I was determined to try and beat the person I was up against and broke my all time record for steps. I didn't win but felt great that I accomplished that. I will be doing another one in November so if you are interested and step under 15K  a day let me know and I will send you the link when I set it up.

@Pampered I'm happy to hear that you're working to win and even though you don't win, you're walking more than usual and for sure that will help you Smiley Very Happy

What is the difference between head to head and side by side?

Bonda here is a description for each:

The Head-to-Head challenge mode allows you to compete against other players in traditional real sports league. Each day you are randomly scheduled to compete with a player in the group. A matchup is won by the player with the most steps. The player with the best Win/Loss record wins the overall competition.

The Side-by-Side challenge mode is a great way to reach your step goal “side-by-side” with other players. In order to successfully complete this challenge you must reach your step goal for each day.

hope this helps

Karen

Ok I have just signed up to the website for the challenges, i think this is a great idea.

I am a bit confused how i am going to be able to keep up with how i am going with the challenges and who i am paired against, do i have to sign into the challenge website each day or will i be able to view this on my fitbit dashboard?

Shikj84.. If you are referring to the Match up site then you do not have to do anything. Just sync your fitbit and it will automatically sync to the match up challenge you are in. Good luck. I will be starting a new 15K and under in November if you are interested let me know.
