It sounds like your notifications got turned off.  Check that you are not accidentally in 'DND" (do not disturb) or 'Sleep Mode' which also stops all notifications.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you for your advice but neither of these modes are on. It’s so frustrating.

Turn off all three: DND, Sleep and Screen Wake.
