treadmill

When I use the treadmill, I usually hold on to the sides. If I put my tracker in my pocket, will it track the steps?

Yes it will. If it has heart rate it will not be accurate through.

krh1965:  Try putting your fitbit on bare skin around you lower leg just above the ankle.  You will get an accurate HR and hopefully an accurate step count, but it may only record 1/2 of your steps.

I have seen folks hold on with one hand and swing the fitbit one as usual. I don't know if letting go with one hand is an option, but it would solve the step and HR issue.. if you are mostly interested in tracking steps, you may want to get the zip or one.. they are more accurate with step count than the wrist models.
