Yoga is more than likely considered flexibility rather than a steady state cardio.

After a 90 minutes Vinyasa yoga class, I considered it a cardio workout for sure!

Fitbit only has yoga as workout option. This means that it is not going to suit all styles from kundalini to vinyasa as well. I would not be surprised if they choose the standard hatha yoga as basis for their calculations. Strength and flexibility exercises burn less calories than cardio.

@jan092017 You can add Yoga to your device by going into the Fitbit app. Click on your profile icon in the left hand corner and then choose your Fitbit device. Scroll down to "Exercise Shortcuts". Inside here, you are given a list of exercise options that will appear on your Fitbit device. You may need to remove an exercise first before you can add one. Once you do that, you should see the option to tap on "+ Exercise Shortcuts" and then scroll through the list of options. Tap on "Yoga" to add it to your list and make sure your Fitbit syncs to your app. Then you should be able to start the Yoga workout from your watch.
