why doesn't my bootcamp workouts show as active minutes?

I do 45 minute or longer bootcamp style workouts on a daily baisis, but I notice that the fitbit doesn't show me as being active the entire time?  Is there something I'm missing in setting it up to ensure it is counting all my workouts?

Fitbit is step based. Its not A HRM.

Bootcamp is not step based and should be logged manually

I manually log my boot camp type workouts as "calisthenics". I wear a heartrate monitor and the fitbit calorie burn seems to be pretty accurate when logging it this way. You will also earn active minutes by logging it this way.
